Topic: Top Ten Books that were totally deceiving (those covers or titles that don't fit the books, a book that was totally different than its summary, or those books you thought were going to be fluff that turned out to be more serious etc etc.)
1. Perfect Chemistry Series by Simone Elkeles
The covers for this entire series are all pretty well, steamy! Each has two people kissing, but the books are so much more than just about a teenage relationship. The books are about overcoming social classes, learning to accept yourself and not always care about what other people think. I love, love, love these books, just not a big fan of the covers!
2. Rich and Mad by William Nicholson
I thought this book was going to be a fun teen romance that took place in England, but I was just really wrong. I love how the two people are in the phone booth, but the cover is the only thing I liked about this book. I felt uncomfortable reading parts, which I usually don't, and honestly felt creeped out.
3. Pink by Lili Wilkinson
This books is one of my all time favorites! After reading it I l-o-v-e the cover, but when I saw it on the shelf I just thought it was going to be a light-girly read. Holy cow it was so much more than that, intense and just amazing in every way!
4. Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles 1) by Marissa Meyer
I absolutely adore this cover! I only picked it to be on this list because the book is full of so much more than just a retelling of Cinderella. Both the cover and the book are totally incredible!!
5. Personal Demons Trilogy by Lisa Desrochers
If I wouldn't have gotten the first book for review I wouldn't have picked it up because of the cover *smacks head* I LOVE these books, oh my goodness! Now after reading them I really do like the covers, they fit the story and capture the kick-ass Frannie perfectly!
6. Shatter Me (Shatter Me 1) by Tahereh Mafi
This is another one where I wouldn't have picked it up if I hadn't read reviews praising it tons. I'm so happy I did because it's one of my all time favorites. I like how the cover didn't give anything away about the story because every part of the plot is a surprise, but I'm just not a fan of the girl standing there since the book is so action packed.
7. The Liar Society (The Liar Society) by Lisa and Laura Roecker
Let me start this one off by saying I love the cover so much, it's the absolute cutest one ever! I thought the book was going to be a cute and quick read that I would only enjoy, but I was SO wrong! It did have it's cute parts, but it was hilarious, snarky, full of mystery, hot boys, ghosts, some spooky parts and a badass main character! (Have you guys seen the new cover!? It's gorgeous! I can't decide which one I love most!)
8. Fallen Series by Lauren Kate
I wanted to love this book, I really did. I thought the cover was absolutely gorgeous (for all the books in the series) but I just couldn't get into them. I hoped I would have had the same emotions from the story that I got from the cover.
9. Shut Out by Kody Keplinger
I seriously thought this book was about a girl who was on a sports team, dumb me! It's so much more than about sports, it's about breaking down sexist barriers and being comfortable in your own skin, I LOVE it!
10. Tempest Rising by Tracy Deebs
I'm not a fan of this cover, but the book was just so colorful and adventurous! I loved all the mermaids and the underwater world, I thought the cover was a little dark and just didn't reflect the book well.
Hey guys! Sorry I was gone the past few days, I ended up getting a pretty bad cold and I was allergic to the antibiotics my doctor gave me, so I needed to take a few days to rest, but now I'm back!
