In My Mailbox (38)

Hosted by The Story Siren

Unfortunately, there is no video this week, sorry guys! I promise there will be the usual In My Mailbox Vlog back next week. I didn't have the greatest of weeks so the video would have been a total downer to watch so here's a picture of all the booky goodness I got this week!

Bought:
-Don't Breathe A Word by Holly Cupala
I'm super excited to read Don't Breathe A Word because I've heard amazing things about it and it was one of my most anticipated releases of 2012!

-Songs for a Teenage Nomad by Kim Culbertson
I'm continually seeing great quotes on goodreads or on Friday's Finest from this book, so when I'm in the mood for a deep read I'll definitely will pick this one up.

-A Need So Beautiful (A Need So Beautiful #1) by Suzanne Young
The sequel, A Want So Wicked, is coming out this year and I still haven't read this one! I've only heard wonderful things about it so I'm super happy I finally decided to pick this one up.

-Hallowed (Unearthly #2) by Cynthia Hand
Hallowed! Yes! I can't wait for some more Tucker! I also heard that there is more Christian in it and that my Team Tucker blogger friend is conflicted between the two guys so I can't wait to see what both dudes do in this book.

Review:
-The Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison

I received this book from the wonderful people at Egmont (thank you!) and it sounds super interesting! There is a picture of a butterfly covered in blood on the cover of the book, which terrifies me since I'm deathly afraid of butterflies.

  6. I got A Need So Beautiful for Christmas this year, and I really can't wait to read it either! I'd like to read it before A Want So Wicked too ;) The Butterfly Clues looks awesome too - the cover is gorgeous! How can you be afraid of butterflies? They're so pretty ;D And I'm so bad, I still haven't read Unearthly! *hangs head in shame* I WILL GET TO IT SOON! ;D Haha, happy reading Katie!

  7. Don't Breathe A Word is already one of my favorite contemporary books of the year--it's THAT good. A Need So Beautiful was the second angel book I've read and though it was (loads) better than the first one I read, I thought it was just ok. Everyone seems to love it though, so I'm thinking angels just aren't my thing... But I'm still going to read Unearthly too, since it's been sitting on my bookshelf for over a year and I know you love it. I hope you enjoy Hallowed just as much!

Songs for a Teenage Nomad & The Butterfly Clues are both on my wish list, so you'll have to tell me how they are!

    Happy reading, Katie! :)

  9. I'm excited to read Hallowed too. My book club just Unearthly last week. We are dying to find out what happens with all Clara, Tucker and Christian. There is a a discussion on my blog about it. I'd love it if you would stop by and share your thoughts.

I'm excited to see Don't Breathe a Word here. I got it a few weeks ago. I'm saving it to read (not sure why, but I am). I loved Tell Me a Secret. If you haven't read it, you really should and the audiobook is incredible. It is one of my go-to reads, I just love it so much!

    Enjoy your books!

  10. Don't Breathe A Word is an amazing book so I hope you LOVE it! And yay for Hallowed! If you liked the first one, you're gonna outright adore that one. However, I have to admit that after reading it I've jumped onto Team Christian. There's just something so awesome about that boy. Happy reading! :)

  13. Can't wait to see what you think of Hallowed. Definitely want to know what's up with Tucker. :D

The cover for The Butterfly Clues is really creepy. Almost looks like one of those Rorschach tests. Just me?

    Enjoy your books!
