-Across the Universe (Across the Universe #1) by Beth Revis
I love books with two point of views and this book is told by both Amy and Elder. It will be really cool to read a story that takes place in space, the entire concept of the book is just totally unique! A Million Suns, book two, came out this month so I should have an Across the Universe series read-a-thon during the weekend!
-Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna #1) by Kendare Blake
This sounds like the perfect ghost story! I love the tagline from the summary on goodreads too, "Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story". I've never read a book where one of the main characters was a murderer, it should be oh so interesting!
-Wolfsbane (Nightshade #2) by Andrea Cremer
I absolutely adored Nightshade so I honestly have not the slightest idea why I haven't read Wolfsbane! Especially since book one ended in a cliffhanger, I mean come on! Also, I definitely could use some more Ren and Shay in my life!
-The Iron King (Iron Fey #1) by Julia Kagawa
I have the first three books in the Iron Fey series so I really don't know why I haven't picked the first one up yet! I keep hearing so many swoon worthy things about Puck and Ash. I really enjoyed the Need Series by Carrie Jones which was about faeries too, so I need to start these books A.S.A.P.
-Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #1) by Lani Taylor
I haven't read a single bad review about this debut so I really need to pick it up. The second book comes out this year, so I'd love to have this one finished in time for the sequel's release. Also the cover is so striking, love it!
-Angelfire (Angelfire #1) by Courtney Alison Moulton
Everyone is so excited about Wings of the Wicked and people are always saying how much they love how strong and independent the main character is. I have this book on my shelf so there really isn't anything stopping me from reading it but silly old me!
-Starcrossed (Starcrossed #1) by Josephine Angelini
Greek mythology and amazing reviews, yeah I don't know what my problem is, that right there is enough for me to pick up this one!
-The Babysitter Murders by Janet Ruth Young
I put this book on a Waiting on Wednesday post last year and went to the bookstore the day it came out, but it wasn't there! My local B&N and Indie doesn't carry this one, I keep meaning to order it online or ask them to ship it to the store, but I keep forgetting. I really want to see what would cause her to have dreams of killing the children she babysits and how she deals with the law enforcement.
-The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #1) by Michelle Hodkin
I was literally counting down the days for the release of this book, but still haven't read it. I've heard incredible things about Hodkin's writing and about the hot leading guy so I really, really want to read this one soon!
What books do you wish you would have read in 2011? Are there any books you recommend that I should read this year?
