What book(s) have you discovered lately from someone's book blog?
Recently I came across the Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow. I saw the countdown to the next book in the series on the sidebar and fell in love with the cover! I went over to goodreads and the summary sounds absolutely awesome, so I figured why not?!
What book influenced you or changed your life? How did it influence/ change you?
First off I absolutely adore this question! I'm going to have to say Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. This book is just flat out incredible. Hannah and Clay were there for me in so many ways. I know I say this a lot, but I absolutely hate high school. Hannah gave me courage to make it through. It helped me learn that my actions don't only affect myself. They impact others too.
Wintergirls was one of the most powerful books I've read - mostly because I've suffered with ED for years.
ReplyDeleteAs for books that people get me to read...well...everything haha most books I read are recommendations :)
I loved 13 Reasons Why! I listened to it on audio and there were two voices. It was incredible. Great answer!

High school was rubbish for me too, at least until I was 16 (most of the people who made it so difficult left after that point.) Thirteen Reasons Why is a really important book, I think, that gets people thinking about the consequences of their actions, or how little things add up.
ReplyDeleteMy most influential book was Anne of Green Gables, since I was about 7. Anne was the first heroine I discovered who felt really real, and so like me: impulsive, living in a dream world all the time. As I've grown up, so has the book, or at least I've got different things from it on each reading, different parts speak to me personally.
Happy Friday! I'm a new follower. Check me out at www.phaedrashowandtell.blogspot.com =D
ReplyDeleteHopping through. Several people have said 13 Reasons Why. I should really read it.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
