Book Blogger Interview: Alice from The Reader Room

I’ve been talking to Alice from The Reader Room for a couple months now and she is a complete sweetheart! We talk about music (The Maine!), books of course and school. So one day I got the courage to ask her if she’d like to do an interview with Call Me Crazy. Thankfully she said yes!

Snapshot 4

1) What inspired you to start a young adult book blog?

I saw so many great book blogs around and it inspired me. For a while I thought “I’m never going to be as good a blogger as the ones already out there” but I gave it a go. It was the best decision I made in 2010 :)

2) What are 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?

Nerd. Ambitious. Optimistic.

Now those are a great three words to be described as!

3) How about 3 words to describe your blog?

Honest. Fun. Friendly.

4) Are there any upcoming reviews, memes, or events that we can look forward to at The Reader's Room?

Well I started a feature called “Read, Review, Recommend” where bloggers share a book review of a book they recommend. I am planning to have a lot more reviews, author interviews and just generally more fun!

I'm participating in it! Such a great idea! Make sure you check it out to see what I’m recommending!

5) Other than reading and blogging, what other hobbies do you have?

I play the flute and I do ballroom and Latin dancing. I am a sucker for board games and TV shows. Oooh and I love baking!

No way! I play the flute too! Ooo ballroom dancing sounds fun!

6) What literary character can you relate to the most?

Hermione Granger. I know, I know. She is just very focused on school work and loves reading (yay) but she isn’t afraid to have a little fun too.

I love that description of Hermione!

Movie: hmm. I apparently I have awful movie tastes. But a favourite of mine at the moment is Easy A.

I love that movie!

TV Show: Goodness. I have too many. Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds, 90210, House. Criminal Minds at the moment though I think.

Yay for Grey’s Anatomy!

Song/ Band: Katie got me into The Maine so I have been listening to them nonstop at the minute. My favourite singer is Taylor Swift though.

Yes! Love The Maine & Taylor Swift!

Book: Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers

Author: Sarah Dessen and J.K Rowling

"To me, Fearless is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, Fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death."

— Taylor Swift

LOVE that quote!
